Frothy Coffee

Now, for another strange drink. This one is of the coffee variety. I've been seeing lots of posts for coconut oil coffee, bulletproof coffee, etc on Pinterest, but never really felt compelled to try them. After Pioneer Woman (who really seems to be pushing me out of my beverage comfort zone these days) posted and raved about this coffee, I knew it would be the perfect Saturday afternoon experiment/indulgence. And holy cow, was it ever fabulous. Creamy, frothy...just amazing. For one delicious cup, throw the following into your blender:

-12 oz strong hot  coffee (1 1/2 cups)
-1 T. unrefined coconut oil
-1 T. unsalted cold butter (yes, really)

Give it a whirl and pour it into your cup and then contemplate if you've just been served something at Starbucks

This mug is awesome perspective for me. I use it faithfully in the winter to remind myself that I do really like living in MN, despite the ridiculous weather.
